| About 20K miles ago I was getting a whirring/bearing type sound in neutral when I let up on the clutch pedal all the way. I didn't think it was the throwout bearing since that's only engadged when the clutch is not since it pushes on the fingers of the pressure plate and when I do push in on the pedal the noise totally goes away. Anyway, I just changed my clutch the other weekend and installed the new throwout bearing and all the other stuff that came with kit and I also used the white lithium grease where advised. I STILL have that whirring/bearing sound when the clutch pedal is out. It's not any louder in neutral with the windows down but it's bugging the crap out of me! Any ideas what it can be? I'm not leaking any fluid from anywhere and I changed the gear oil in my tranny during the swap for the second time in only like 15K miles. I used Royal Purple Max gear 75/90 both recent changes and while it helped with my syncros during high speed rapid shifting, it did nothing for this whirring sound. Thanks!
